Geneticist, head of Oncological Genetics at HUS. A member of the French Genetics and Cancer Group since its creation, Doctor Maugard set up the first clinical oncological genetics consultation in Nantes at the end of 1992, then developed a diagnostic laboratory activity in this field. She participates in international consortium activities aimed at locating genes predisposing to breast cancer. Holder of a Doctorate in Medicine, an Interuniversity Diploma in Medical Genetics and a Doctorate in Molecular and Cellular Biology, she is continuing her postdoctoral training at the University of Montreal.
Deputy head of the familial cancer clinic at CHUM (Montreal), researcher then assistant professor, finally associate professor in the department of medicine at the University of Montreal, she developed her own research program, aiming to better characterize genotype relationships , phenotype and transcriptome in normal and ovarian tumor tissue in BRCA1/2 mutation carriers. On her return to France, she devoted herself to the development of oncological genetics activity in its clinical and molecular aspects at the University Hospitals of Strasbourg and coordinated the GENECAL program for Alsace and Lorraine.
